Thank you to all who served and sacrificed - especially those who didn't make it home to the good old USA. The Greatest Generation truly was a Blessing for those who followed. We owe them and all veterans so much more than the "Thank you for your service." accolades they receive.

I’ve tried to explain to my kids ( mid 40’s now ) that almost every adult male on our block when I was a kid was a WWII or Korean vet. They were heros who won the war. My kids only knew their dad’s generation lost the war in Viet Nam. I wish it had been different but it still remains the same today.
The guys who took part in D Day saw things no human being was meant to see. I hope God is treating them good !!!

To all and especially my grandpa who spent 3 years in a German prison camp as a POW, thank you for your sacrifices you made to keep us all safe.

D-day was an 'allied' operation. We owe a massive debt of respect and gratitude to those that returned and those that did not from all of the allied forces involved. Thank you to them all.

My wife’s grandpa landed at Omaha beach as a Bazooka man. Lost a finger that day, but not his trigger finger.

My grandfather was in the 17th Bombardment group, and he was the provost of an army air corps base in North Africa.

A guy I met and got to spend time with named Jim Downing was on the USS West Virginia at Pearl Harbor. He survived the attack because he went to church that morning, but ran back to the burning ship and manned an anti-aircraft gun. He passed away at 104 just a year or two ago. He wrote a book too, incredible read.

Thanks to all that fought for a free world. No one knows what my country would be like today if not so many young men had given all they had. Thank you all for your service! We all owe you a lot!

My time was easy compared to what the vets of WW-2 went through!
