Might be a rule specific to the Worldwide Outlaw Gasser association.

Well it's legal now. Plates and insurance, passed the Kentucky safety inspection with a couple of properly placed lies lol.... well yeah those windshield wipers work! And yeah the horn works :p it's good to have friends in low places. But yeah I have all of the lights, signals included Steve  sitting here waiting to see if the rain stops, I wanna drive it to the Friday night cruise in town. Not bad enough that I'll sit in the rain though.

Rain-X the windshield. It’ll be fine. I wish mine was at that point. I picked up a cage kit from Rhodes race cars. They have kits from 4 to 10 points depending on what you need to be track legal. I couldn’t justify buying benders and trying to figure out exactly how to build one. I am planning to replace the glass in my rear and side windows as tinted glasss will help hide the cage. Pivoting side bars is a requirement to make sure that I can still get in. With the rumble your car has, you need to stay safe.

I can't believe you asked about rules. Just show up and see what they say.
Have a seat belt and helmet for sure.
Test and tune nights is another way to find out.

A big event they would be more strict. Small events not so much.

  21. I just got a response to my email question,

According to Craig Boone London Speedway Representative .......

8.25 & slower, regular seat belts are fine. So if we run quicker than that in time trails, the block of wood will be used under the loud pedal to run in the actual race!:p

I have already bought my 5 point harness, so if I get time I will install it before I go.

    God Bless
    Bill

That is about a 12.87 in the quarter. I’d put the harness in. Strong small blocks should be in the 12s without any problems.

Well, while the rest of you guys, with your fancy, trapped in the garage, $100,000, non drivable, investments, sit at home on the computer and tell everybody else how it is, this old piece of junk is back on the road, and headed to Bowling Green Kentucky tmrw for the weekend!! Enjoy that boat anchor ya got there, keep spending money on it :D:p:cool: 20240701_182814.jpg IMG_0349.jpg 20240723_162940.jpg 20240723_162958.jpg 20240729_150736.jpg 20240726_162550.jpg 20240803_112927.jpg 20240806_170028.jpg 20240807_171330.jpg 20240807_171334.jpg 20240809_182619.jpg 20240807_183028.jpg 20240810_150653.jpg 20240813_170454.jpg 457842282_2852538298261957_194879836822253213_n.jpg 458073622_1294987625203553_8331100714390736196_n.jpg 20250507_164628.jpg 20250509_172605.jpg 20250525_190222.jpg 20250527_154233.jpg 20250608_154642.jpg 20250608_154615.jpg

Glad you have it going, but you must be talking to someone else. All my cars are junk and just worn out or broke at the moment. Thanks for the motivation though. I was just thinking this morning that I need to get something fun fixed so I can enjoy it. Even my Harley is torn apart right now…

It's tackling fuel, for the guys here that never drive their car. Scared to drive it, "what if it breaks? "I've only got $10k in my crate engine! I don't know if it's dependable enough to drive!" Lol... you know those guys Jeff. But I'm pretty excited, dragging this beast out of its grave, and giving it another trip down the highway. Wish I could go get the old fella i bought it from and take him with me. But he doesn't bath lmao

Yea, I know who you are talking to. :D That's the same reason that we host reliability runs so folks can get these old cars out and drive them. I do appreciate your motivation and watching how quickly you can get something on the road. Have a blast in Bowling Green!

I call it "shaming" lmao! I gave big Andy enough shit, he couldn't listen to it anymore lol... he's hauling his truck to my house today, and we're driving down tmrw. That guy has completely revamped his old truck, motor, transmission, suspension, wheels & tires, etc... since last June.
