    And then tires buried in dirt tend to resurface after about 10 years! The air trapped inside of the buried tires tends to bring it back up as the earth vibrates. Cutting them up seems to delay the resurfacing issue.
    I would think burying them still intact, in sand, would be a continuous cycle.
