Always attend the Father's Day weekend event & as usual find something of interest, this year an n.o.s pair of 55 Nebraska license plates with unique # 19-559 no less, also a vintage 1960 'A' feature Ist. place trophy from the Colo. Lakeside speedway & of course adorned with the 32-dirt track topper that piques my interest. Met some great area early Ford folks mostly by virtue of walking the many rows of vendors on the shaded streets of Walnut with the trophy in hand, & entertaining comments such as " Congratulations on your win"...or.. "So, you had to buy your own trophy ?" all in fun & good for a laugh. Probably the deal of the day that I observed was a cut-down 32 grille shell good enough to put in service with its years of patina.

I was waiting for the trophy girl to make the official presentation & a photo shoot, but she didn't show up, some mention I was too old & might have a cardiac episode with too much excitement.
