Lincoln swap meet. Usually to cold for me. As a newcomer I'd me stuck outside, not my thing in early March.
I'm sure someone will post pics after tomorrow. This was my first time going on Friday, the line to get into the specialty parking was super easy this year. They took cash at the gate and we went in. It was a lot less cars in the specialty area and a lot less vendors. I walked the whole area twice, some sellers were real late setting up, some prices were high but some stuff was selling. Overall I had a great time, can't wait for the 60th.
It was nice visiting with you and the Mrs this afternoon. Was a good day. But I had carburetor troubles on the way home. I made it home, but gonna leave the pickup home tomorrow and take the 47. As my wife said, it's good to have a backup. Take care, see you next time.
Here's a few shots from my cel phone. I have >800 shots on my camera, but haven't uploaded them to the computer yet. I'll post more as I get the chance. I was about 8th in line, right behind @1oldtimer I got a decent parking spot. Brought my own shade with me. It made for a nice place for some lunch. I even took a nap .
Sorry, not a photographer. Might go back tomorrow with the olds, went with my dad in an OT car today.
@oldsmobum cool pics, thanks for sharing. I see some cars in your shots I didn't even see. This cool y-block powered 32 roadster belongs to HAMBer @32Dan
Rolled in Gate 17 Friday at a leisurely 10:30. $20 parking, plastic only. $25 admission, no line. Two day admission was $35. The swap area is getting smaller and smaller every year but it's still a day's walking and totally worth living for. The hot rod bowling shirt vendor was there this year, picked up two more shirts. Yay. The number of qualified roadsters in the show are fewer and fewer as are the non roadsters on the other side of of the aisle. The weather was pleasant, mid 80s with a breeze.
I talked to that guy, his son is the one with the tiny wheelbarrow roadster. Great guy, and the car is pretty excellent for the money. The interior is a little tired, but by no means unsanitary, and it idled like a damned sewing machine. I probably have at least as much in my 55 and it’s frustrating how much nicer that 52 is
I don’t recall seeing anything “32” (including glass cars) under $75k. I could be wrong about that car though
