Customs 4R70W adapter

Has anyone done or know someone who has installed a Ford 4RW70 transmission on an 59AB engine?

 

4R70W? Electronic trans? Not sure how you would make electronics work. Probably off topic

It's going to be really hard to pull off. The 4R70W has an integral bell housing. The 59AB block also has an integral bell housing. Well most of one anyway. Would be 100% a custom attempt and I doubt it will work.

If you found and ran an 8BA 49-53 engine it is much more likely to be successful. Like 99% chance of success. Adapters exist for the last Flathead block style.
