Technical 32 heavy axle or what?

  1. Here's another axle I picked up guy passed away had a bunch of junk in his backyard

    Yes I know the spindles have been ground down for where the backing plate goes..
     
  2. Distance from the kingpin hole to the wishbone hole looks just a little to long to be a 1932 axle . Really need a "flat"photo to see properly.

    No, looks like a 33-36 axle to me.

    I think it is a 32 axle. The reason is the radius rod pad looks a little sunken. Only 32 axles were that way. The I feature on the side is blurred but I think that is from chroming prep. I hope I am right as it is an interesting piece.

    Hard to tell from the angle the pictures are taken at. Spindle appears to be 1932-34. To differentiate 1932 from 1933-36 axles, need to only glance at two areas - the 32 axle is recessed where the wishbone is attached and the axle from the wishbone mount to the spindle has a compound curvature to it. 1932 Ford Axle #1.jpg 1932 Ford Axle.jpg

  16. I am going to have to look at this better.. I thought I had pic on phone to look at shape from wish bone to spindle.

    Cause it’s just a 33-36 axle.
