Technical 37 Plymouth Truck electrical question (not stock)

    RodStRace, thanks for the correction on the Tach wire. I labeled it wrong.

    Also, thanks for your information. I do believe i got it figured out. I bench tested the ignition switch and found that Speedway instructions had me wire it wrong. I believe that mistake caused it to short. Waiting for the new fuse box terminals to arrive.

    Glad it seems to be diagnosed, hope the repair gets it all going.
    I don't know how well the interaction with the phone techs went, but once this is resolved you might want to post up a correction and your ignition part # so others will not run into this.
    Sorry if I came across as brusque, it's difficult to diagnose stuff without eyes on the problem and not knowing what parts are involved.

    Thank brother, I appreciate your help. Yep, I will post something that details the solution. The Speedway motors instructions for a GM Column ignition switch has the "Starter" pin and the "Ignition" pin reversed (or backwards). I bench tested the switch I found out which pins do what. Then I was able to move the pins in the harness connector to make it work. Now I am waiting on the blow ATO fuse terminals, then I will continue the wiring.
