The dropped steering knuckle support stuff was acquired by Downright Fab. This company is a partnership of two former Fatman employees and have been fabricating the supports for a couple of months in house. Located in Monroe, NC

Any contact info? Sounds like Fatman could still be in business if they raised their prices when the cost of steel went up......Everyone get their checks back from the lawyer yet?

Ok guys, update- according to Keith @ Downright fab, my Buick dropped uprights will be finished today. I will post pics when received.

 

@51 mercules, in talking with Keith, he has a set of dropped uprights for your Mercury in stock. He just finished up two sets for my Buicks and shipping them soon.

 

Buick uprights received. Impressed with them. Keith told me that he will be concentrating on the "oddball" stuff first, such as BOP, Mopar, and Mercs. I am pleased with both sets. Now again a resource for these.

 

I'm glad he's making these. They filled a niche no one else had a product for. I'm glad you got them and are happy with them, Bill.

 

I highly doubt a price hike from material cost would have made any difference

None of the shops/individuals that I'm in contact have heard a word from Fatman or their lawyers since the initial letter back in January. No checks of any amount have been sent
