My buddy Kelley scored this 35 about a hour or so outside of town. It was in the gentlemens back lot. There is a barn, that's where the fenders were and I hear there is some cool shit up there, to bad I was at the bottom grabbing hood and fenders and missed the dust filled gold mine of model A parts.
good lord...someday I'll get that lucky...and just my luck I won't have any place to put it...but you can bet I'd make room for it...heck of a score, did he wind up breaking the bank?
$2500.00, we gotta go back and get running boards and bumpers the gentlemen had to goto work and he's kinda strictler on that we had to be there at 6:30 in the morning. The first time we were suppose to pick it up was the sunday after the big party at Sqeaks (kiwi konnection) after the saturday drags at famosa, we got hammered and slept in. He asked if we could get it on that monday the gentlemen said "NOPE", wednesday he said "NOPE" then he told him "I'll let you know when a good time is", We made a trip and paid him and then a couple of days after that he called and said come get it on wednesday at 6:30, we didn't sleep in this time LOL.
that'll teach you!!! hahaha...at least he didn't tell you to piss off and sell the car to someone else, some guys are like that...any idea on what the timeframe is on the build? Any specifics as far as drivetrain or era/style of the build?
time frame questionable, depends if he starts on his A coupe first like he says he wants to, but the 35 is already at one of our buddies with the body off the frame and half way sand blasted so we'll see. I know for sure its gonna be chopped and low to the ground, I just don't know how drastic it'll be. I will keep you guys posted
Me too, I've noticed alot more barn find post on here in the last couple of months. It's nice to see there are still some solid old tin lying around for the ones who appreciate them.
