Technical More '54 Ranch Wagon Parts ID

Thanks to everyone and the Ford Body and Ford Chassis books I'm down to just this one part (at the moment) that I have no idea where it goes. I'll check the 52-59 forum and the Barn as well. TI A

 

Well my friend, I think I might be able to help, as I recall they are both lower inner braces for the inside of the front fenders, they are positioned in the rear area of the front fenders, different from side to side. hope that helps . HRP

Thanks. I have the 2 braces group numbers 16103 and 16102 per the Chassis parts diagram - see photos. But I only have one of the brackets pictured in the first post. I believe they are group 16054 per the diagram and require a left and right side. Actual part numbers should be BM-16054-A RH and BM-16055-A LH. The chassis parts diagram isn't real clear exactly how these 2 brackets fit in the scheme of things. I need to figure that out so I know which bracket to search for or fab up if I can't find one. As a long shot I'm going to contact the original body guy to see if in the off chance it's still at his shop but not holding my breath.

 

Thanks to RustvelleSS on the 52-59 board I now know that the single bracket is to protect the gas fill pipe. Never would have figured it out on my own.
