Sadly he weren't the only guy to dream this up.
I recall seeing one in the old Alberta Auto trader mag back in the 80s on a Dodge 4x4 chassis, ad was looking for $25,000 at that time

Here's one, dig the homespun Continental Kit. Themed after the Johnny Cash song ,(above back window) but didn't see any Cadillac parts on it 20250525_135637.jpg 20250525_135607.jpg

There’s probably more interest among those inclined to build one (and its Camaro and Mustang siblings) than any market for the completed cack/trur (car/truck).

Had a buddy that built one of those Pinto wagons on a Ford Bronco 4x4 chassis! The went as far as actually getting it legally titled (the car had 4 VIN numbers on it, the Pinto wagon VIN, the Bronco Chassis VIN, the driver train donor's VIN, and the state issued VIN).
Illinois called it a "Pinto 4x4 SUV" back in about 1988. Because it was legally titled, the guy was able to sell it a few years later. Some one ought the thing!
