Dug the Frank Wallic Bomber Bench out of storage to put in the bare metal deuce roadster give away car. It's almost seems like a shame to use it realizing as far as I know there will be no more. If there was a museum featuring a section for seats this should be included. To date others have tried but no one has duplicated the look, craftsmanship and quality of a Wallic Bomber Bench!
I know you don’t post pics, be we would really like to see it...I may have a place to park that seat if needed...
I'm gonna use the seat in the roadster. As to why I call it the giveaway car, I'm so buried in this roadster because thru out the years in all my builds I have only used top of the line components. I can't get any interest in my Henry Highboy unless I take a 35-40% cut in the selling price so I figure this high end bare metal roadster may bring about half or less of my investment. When it's done I will have a PDF available detailing all the parts and labor involved in the construction.
However the photo got there…… I dig the seat. Craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing. Will you just do loose seat and back cushions?
Whilst it looks an incredibly well made item, I feel like a ‘bomber bench seat’ misses the point a bit? Hell, it ain’t my car though so crack on!!!
Criminal: I have a black leather seat cushion and a thin back pad from when the seat was in the 32 pickup I sold. The seat cushion is loose and the back cushion slips over the back of the seat. Clydesdale: Totally agree I had a couple pairs of Franks buckets but they weren't appropriate for the 32 truck.
In defense of Gary (Krylon32) I spoke to him at LARS , he stated that he has had several people including a computer service try to post pix with failed results. They don't know what the problem is.
