Need to repair the seat in my '28 Model A. Yup, burned a hole in it with a drop light, bad kitty!! The material kit originally came from Cartouche up in New York State. It is the dark brown N-10 color. Since Cartouche is long gone, does anyone know of a source of the same vinyl material. Thank you for your help. Bob Stanley

You need to upgrade to L.E.D. They’re bright as hell and don’t melt your personal tidbits.

Yeah, that's what I thought! However, the light (pic) was an LED, battery power. You can hold your hand over the lens and it only feels warm. The only other scenario that I can think of would maybe the frequency the LED generates. Maybe it's microwave grade radiation, don't know.?? Interesting!!

One other thought: Before you decide to recover the whole seat, check in your area for someone who repairs upholstery. Used car dealers usually know these folks. I had an issue once in my wife's car and the person made the fix so that you would never know. He did the job right in our driveway. Held up well. The seat was near the same color as you are showing so I can say it doesn't just work for black.
Wouldn't hurt to check around your area.

As AVater said, also check your phone book. I worked at a boat company for many years, we had a guy that repaired the boat seats. His company name was Dr. Vinyl. We gave him lots of work. You couldn't see the repairs when he was done.

Check around on line for what you need, may take some researching, but you may find what you need or very close.
