Over the years, I've seen many like that on display in various driveshaft shops.

If the U-jounts are the same size you can fix those by turning them around.

I never twisted one like that but I did shatter the rear yoke on one behind a pretty strong 440 (over 50 years ago).

At a cruise many years ago there was a Model A coupe with a steering column drop made from a connecting rod. It had the sweetest bend in it so that the big end clamped around the column and the other end was absolutely vertical where it met the bottom of the dash. I asked the owner how he got the bend in the rod like that and his response was "that's just what it looked like when it came out of the side of the block."

I was racing the Olds one night with MT Drags and about 12 psi when I "rag-dolled" the axles, one of them so bad it pulled out of the posi carrier and sent the car toward the guardrail. After installing Dutchman hardened axles (and cleaning the driver's seat) I took it back to the strip. The next weakest link was the driveline which ended up like a pretzel stick (thus the Avatar pic).

Does it shift gears when you slide the seat forward? Or maybe that's the reverse lockout.

That floor looks like a pickup floor. Maybe the seat doesn't slide.
