Alan Chapman's 32 tourer with all his mates on-board. Chappy got this car out of a wrecking yard in Mildura, about 300 miles north. He built it then sold it and it got shipped to the US where they probably complained that it "was full of wood" At least the Aussie bodies didn't have the two seams down the back of the tub like the US ones do.

Queensland car with Holden ute and panel van in the background. Maybe @Lil32 knows more about it.

Swifty, Pontiac roadster belonged to Joe Pring and was powered by a Y block Ford with triple carbies.
Interior trim that rolls over the top of the bodywork was curiously often seen on Queensland hot rods, but rarely anywhere else in Australia, Chromed headers and small diameter steering wheel are typical of the sixties.
Tractor type headlights. There were very few mag wheels available in the early sixties so chrome reversed wheels were common.

I actually wonder how they got it there and how they got it back home as in those days there were no cherry-pickers or engine cranes. Incidentally along that road in South Muckleford in those days the phone system was a trunk line system and each house was given a letter of the alphabet. When the phone rang it was your letter in Morse code i.e 2 shorts and one long or whatever.
