Well I bought this 5 Window about 5 years ago as a future project,the car had sat in a shed for 40 years, the car was covered in fine silt as if a flood had gone through it, the coupe had'nt run for longer than the 40 years, So today, my two sons and myself decided to have a go at getting the old girl going, oil was clean, and the engine turned over, so we made a fuel tank out of a pea tin, set the timing and kicked it in the guts, unbelievably it fired up and ran like a clock. check out the video to be posted soon
Bitchin. Model C eh? Drool.. Gotta do this start-up thing with my sideplate Holden( Assuming it's free). Hasn't run since '86.

Definitely Model B, Ford never recognised the term model C for 33 & 34, all official content clearly states Model B. either way it was great to it going, more amazing it did'nt fill the shed with smoke and ran like a clock.

I think he wants to run it pre-war style. Hopping up the Flathead 4, running wire wheels, it should be a sweet ride!
Great find, but running a B without water, even for a short time, is a sure way to crack the deck area of the block near the valve seats. The blocks are too thin there, and prone to crack. Herb Kephart
Amazing. King Henry V8 would be pleased. Henrietta the '38 Ford pickup and Ozelle the '55 Ford are both impressed, and they send congratulatory horn honks. I have a picture of my parents taken about 1946 or '47 standing beside their first car, a '33 Ford Deluxe 5 window coupe!
After a long Hiatus doing other stuff, finally spent some hours (lots) doing chassis and body work, in the home stretch, Should have it completed in 12 months. Funny how life and other projects get in the way, it has been 2 weeks from a driving chassis for 8 years.
After the usual set backs getting ready to fit glass and do the interior trimming. here's a before and after.
engine is original to the car/chassis B model out to 208ci, Stipe 340 cam, 283 Chev pistons, full inserted and drilled crank for oil to the rods, YAPP Riley 2 port head, numerous mods to the oil galleries per Jim Brierley and Secrets of Speed articles, remote oil filter, this is all matched to a Tremec TR6060 6 speed manual gearbox, front drive distributor (YAPP) with a modified Chevy Nova tach drive Mallory dual point distributor, home made stainless steel headers.
