Currently the 3rd owner, 1st purchased new in Missouri and driven daily till the mid/ late 70s. The son & his dad bought it to do a Hershey car together - showed once and I believe it received a 3rd or honorable mention. The Son took over in the 90s but the original engine they 1st rebuilt failed. Took that engine and did it again for 2nd time but it failed shortly afterward. They located a Virgin 36 LB up in Washington and had it built, then he added the NOS heads from Hershey swap, a**** other things. Carbs were by Max, Powergen alternator, electronic distributor, electric fuel pimp. They Installed the new Lb engine, then shortly afterward the original trans failed, so they had Van Pelt build them one - new clutch & PP. Beautiful lacquer paint shows fantastic today, the top is quite correct. Full mechanical brakes do work well, but I did purchase a Dennis Lacey hydraulic brake conversion kit for it at the time of Covid ; i also have very nice powder coated / loaded backing plates. I didn't go further with the hydraulic brake conversion due to issues with stage 4 cancer & my treatments at the time. Ftont wheels are stock width, rears are widened +2" and look perfect on it. Spare is a standard size Kelsey wheel. I made risers for the seat to raise it and move it back too but still use all the original holes etc... I'm mostly legs , and there's an additional 4" to 5" of leg room with the package tray removed. The rear window does roll up and down as it should. All fender beads are intact originals with NO cracks. Other than the seat belt anchor holes and one for a fire extinguisher , no other holes that I know of. This is a starter list, so feel free to ask questions or request more photos etc. My reason for selling it - my cancer has returned and I begin another round of radiation starting July 17th Thanks, Steve. s.hackel@att.net
