That's so awesome!! That car had an incredible level of detail. Reminds me of the 22jr car by Tony Nancy. Congrats!

That's quite a find, Pat would have certainly enjoyed the news. Wishing good luck finding the chassis, as there are some rare pieces to come up with. It took some digging to build the close copy we put together.

@Marty Strode my second thought after “holy shit!” Was that they are going to have such a huge leg up with your thread of building the clone. The insane amount of effort and research you guys put in gives the rebirth of the original such a massive advantage.

Holy hell that's cool. Hard to believe it didn't get scrapped by someone who didn't have a clue what it was.

    Let's see....uhm....

Joe has the body....? Marty has the clone chassis.....?....

Could this be a match made in heaven? One of those "hey you got your chocolate in my peanut butter!" moments??

Trade the body to Pat Ganahl’s son to fit onto the recreation chassis. Then build a similar car for the body that Marty assembled. Maybe put a Ford in it so you could have Ford vs. Chevy battles.

Excellent intro and article @Jimmy B I wanted you to give the good news first! To the fellow HAMB community. You also have a library of photos to share with your amazing expertise and research. @Marty Strode dedicated a lot to this chapter and showed everyone here how it was done by the Spalding Bros. Yes we also all wish Pat was here to see the find of a lifetime. 1950s HRM cover cars are almost impossible to find these days.
