Days like this I wish I owned a Red, White and Blue car. If I ever repaint my dune buggy, I am considering an Evel Knevel theme but with transparent blue, candy apple red and pearl while and cover it all with wicked big boat flake.

I'm gonna go make a hot dog.

  5. For 249 years America has commemorated the ratification of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America.

We as Americans believe in celebrating our way of life in many unique ways , Fireworks, family reunions, concerts, barbecues, picnics, parades, baseball games and Hot Rods & Customs to name a few.

Water repellent, marine signal jackets with colorful flags imprinted on the front.

    Hello,

In my last two years of college, my attire was black/blue Levi cord pants, white T-shirt, one of three marine signal flag jackets and low cut Chuck Taylor black "tennies." So, why marine signal flag jackets?

The girl I met in one of my classes was cool looking. But, she had glasses to see clearly in class and that was helpful toward her grades. She could see the board for notes. Outside of class, she took off the funky glasses and walked without them, until the next class session.

She could see, but perhaps, 20-30 feet away, things were blurry. She was able to walk on the sidewalks to the next classroom, see the sidewalk and students nearby. Despite that, she could not see clearly as to who was approaching.

Well, since I was the only one on campus wearing the above three jackets, she knew it was me coming towards her. The letter “C” first jacket emblem was a sight, but she could see the red, white, blue pattern and know it was me. I also wore the letter “J” for obvious reasons. Finally, to make sure she saw me, I wore the last jacket, “W” to make sure she could see me clearly as a target.

    Jnaki

All of these years later. She still remembers those jackets I wore those last years (and laughs) and after we got married, they lasted many more years. For her, since I was the only one with the colorful jackets, she knew to smile and say hello… YRMV

    Note:
When she got contact lenses, she could see clearly all of the time. But, she always smiled and could identify me anytime. By then, we were dating and eventually, got married in our 20s. Ha!
