12⁰ initial timing, 93 octane gas, street tires, spinning through 60'.... it'll run an 8.00 easy if I can get it out of the hole. I don't see anybody else beating the balls off of their car on the strip? Pulled this car out of the woods less than a year ago, and it's been road tripped across Kentucky and back, no issues, 16mpg, 160⁰, but hey, 9.09 ****s huh lol. Go build a car and drive it. It sounds good, real good, not bad for a test and tune day. Hey it’s a street car, burning rubber out of the hole is part of the fun at least for me YMMV.

This is true but if you are in a bracket race this is the time to practice on the light and to figure a number that you think the car will run.

You better leave it spinning ! for the time being. Or keep letting the tires down until something breaks lol

congrats on some p***es down the track & making it through tech. I once done the street drags at Edgewater in Cincinatti in my F1. tech guy ask about a catch can, battery mount then said did you drive it here I said yes ,he told me your good take off your hub caps .it was slow but I have bragging rights of running on a 1/4 mile track .local tracks are all 1/8

Right on, Lloyd. Better spinning the tires than burning your clutch. Something has to take the hit if that rear can't. You now have ground zero, nowhere to go but faster!

Was that your tracks driving through the water, if so you might want to still do a burnout before rolling up to the line to clear the water off of them.
It does look good on that p***, nothing crazy going on.

Round 2 wasn't so successful lol. But the car took a damn beating!!! Never missed a beat. I couldn't be happier. Just impossible on street tires lol. That's to @Truckdoctor Andy and @Bill's Auto Works for being there for me! What an awesome day. 3.73 gears and street tires made for some of the sweetest burnouts lol... 20250705_125159.jpg 20250705_130508.jpg 20250705_130524.jpg 20250705_130539.jpg 20250705_173021.jpg 20250705_173036.jpg 20250705_173202.jpg 20250705_173255.jpg 20250705_173257.jpg 20250705_173336.jpg 20250705_190735.jpg 20250705_190821.jpg

I forgot to add that Andy had shirts made with mine and Bill's car on them! I'll post a picture tmrw, they're in the truck, unless Andy has a picture to post?

  23. It was a wonderful day at the track. We had a blast! It was wonderful to see Bill and spend time with him as well. Thanks Brother for taking us along and reminding me how bad I want to go racing again! I would post my shirt, but it’s filthy and sweat stained!

Just leave it spin and have fun . Fix one thing always leads to another , or breakage . Drive the wheels off it and have fun . You have lots of time involved time to reap the fun part of the crop now .
