My son saw the pictures and loved them. He is thinking about painting it red, but without the lettering, So we are getting there. It is great to know the history of the car. Thanks again
I just joined Hamb, mainly to answer this post. I have a picture of this car--Miss Red Beauty---that is about forty years old. I was about thirteen when I took it. It shows the owner/driver--Bernadine Perkins--standing in front of the car--red at the time. It was taken at Bluegr*** Dragstrip on Nicholasville Rd just outside of Lexington Ky around 1971 or 72. Really exciting to see that it has been found. I also have a picture of her tow rig--an early seventies Chevy one ton wrecker with Chuck's Sunoco on it. I will post the pics when I am able.
Hello All, It has been many years since I asked for ID help on my sons car, It only took 2 hrs for the HAMB community to get the answer. The car was media blasted , not the doors hood and trunk, 20 years ago. My Wonderful son has had many cars between them and now. The 57 stayed, Sat in the barn. Last winter I figured if I didn't get it painted it would get done , Mostly due to my age. In the picture the frame , underneath , interior and roof are painted. Yesterday I painted the quarters. So it took a long time to get here, life and other things got in the way . My son is now 30 and still likes the old cars. We have an alum SBC to go in stroked to 426 from a friend Angelo. My Son wants an automatic also. Just wanted to continue the thread and let people know to keep working on the projects they will get done sometime. We will see if it's another 20 before he drives it .....
