Hi guys. So I was helping dad toss out garage boxes and he stumbled upon his high school yearbook from 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was only there for that year. I flipped through it and in the back it had advertising for local businesses. I have no idea who the folks re pictured but maybe some local salt lakers may get a kick outta this. Kinda cool Thanks for looking
F.G.Ferre was the first real speed and custom accessory store in S.L.C. Starting in the early 50's. They helped me out with parts on some of my earlier cars and sponsored a lot of local drag cars. They've been out of business since the 70's. I have their logo lettered on my 3- window coupe, as a salute to them. Mick
I recall seeing that ad in my mother's highschool yearbook! She graduated in 1956, I believe, from West Highschool in Salt Lake City. Larry
That picture from the 1960 yearbook in the initial post deserves to be the subject of a caption contest.
I was thinking something more like: Girlfriend: "You spent how much on this thing! What does it even do? For that much money you could have taken me out to dinner in the nicest restaurant in town and then to a show and then bought me flowers on the way home!"
