I don't think so Frenchtown it looks to me like an original or repro. I had Genie's and they looked just like that.

I am building a '33 into a bracket racer, and would like to know what body I have. Ribbed recessed firewall and no spare tire well. Anyone know?
    I really enjoy this site.

The firewall and rear "trunk" panel were probably fabbed by a previous owner, not factory. I cannot identify specifically who did the work, if that is what you are asking. Good luck with your project - model 77s make great bracket racers, as long as you don't overpower the chassis. After I witnessed a gruesome crash several years ago I came up with my #1 gasser rule: NEVER put a nine-second motor in a twelve second chassis.

  21. Traveler is my all-time favorite gasser! I recently kit-bashed an AMT Ohio George model into a Traveler.

    I love your model.

Does anybody make 1/24 tires that have wrinkles or at least bulges where the rubber meets the road? That aspect of perfectly round model tires has always bothered me. Sometimes it is the only thing that gives away the fact that we are looking at a model and not a pic of a real car.
