I got one of these recently and while trying to look up info on it I realized there was next to zero info on the internet not only about the tool but about the company as well! I am about 90% sure there is an article in an old magazine that I have about this exact tool though so I will be digging for that. Here is mine as it came to me Screenshot_20250707_132611_Gallery.jpg
Looked as if it hadn't been used in about 60+ years. It was frozen solid, missing the foot and upper wheel holder. Every adjuster was corroded off, it was really in that sweet pocket right before being unsavable. Here it is today... 20250709_121923.jpg
I still need to fabricate the two upper attachments for it but its dang close. You can not only adjust tension with the handle on top but also by squeezing the brass bar! Neat tool! Here is the only picture I could find online

Apparantly the patent was applied for in 1939 and approved in 1944 for Vernon Robbins. US2352009A is the patent number. I am looking for more picture and information if anyone has em! Neat tool from long ago. Will post the article when I find it. It was hrm or hop up I think

I’ve never seen or heard of it, but now I want one!
I wonder if it’s like today paintless dent removal tools?

From what I remember of the article the editors of the magazine were skeptical of it when they salesman knocked on their door but then the secretary had a freah fender dent and they let him fix it and it was flawless after. I am thinking of making a flat top foot and gluing some carpet jute or something to it for repairs with good paint. It is supposed to be a paintless repair I believe
