is that the result of an electric fuel pump that keeps pumping fuel even after the engine is shut off ?
That’s a Corvette? I sent a text to a friend in a Vette club and linked this post to see if he knows him, and what may have happened. I don’t recognize the car.
No lives were lost. No one was displaced from their home or business. A car burned, We have differing definitions of terrible.
Man, that’s tough. Agreed that it’s good no one was hurt. But, pretty sure any of us would still be upset if that was our car. I had a buddy lose his 66 427 roadster to fire about 25 years ago. He also watched it burn in a parking lot.
Appears to be a 62 as I believe I see the cove molding that 62's have. I really hate to see that, especially as a 62 owner.
My dad fixed a couple 65 vettes that had been in fires when I was a kid. Fire is kind of hard on fibergl***. But, I did consider buying my buddies car after it burned to fix it. It can definitely be done.
