Listing is for a 1935-1936 accessory Ford banjo steering wheel fitted with a birds eye maple and lacewood rim. Actual images of wheel shown below. Steering wheel has been restored to like-new condition; hub and steel rim were sandblasted, hub and stainless steel spokes polished, and the wood rim has been expertly fitted to the frame with epoxy. The rim measures 1" thick and features canted finger grooves on the back side of the rim, throughout the entire cir***ference, for added comfort and grip. Decorative stainless steel pins opposite of each spoke set round out the look and complement the original design nicely. The wood is finished with a hard-curing high-gloss polyurethane, and the inside of the hub with semi-gloss black enamel. Steering wheel has not been mounted since finishing.
