    awesome, shades of east coast u.s.a in this build. @Dago 88 must know this one as it is in his neck of the woods. I would imagine I have pics of this one tucked away in a photo album somewhere. Cheers and keep them coming please.

    Yes @deadbeat , know it well, built by Charles Buhagia & Manny Azzopadie in the mid’60s , was cutting edge for the time & will always be one of my favourites. Car is still around but not looking the same unfortunately. IMG_3938.png

    Any possibility it’s the same car ? Sold maybe after George moved to the Willys ? They are both from the same area . Have seen many with the chopped front fenders . Could be two also .

    Look close, there are holes for cowl lamps on the Jeg’s car, George’s car didn’t have cowl lamps.

  17. George sold the coupe in 1960 to Ed Becker of Indiana who owned it up until it went to the Garlits museum several years ago.

    Ok , I guess not same car . Thanks for the info . Just curious about chopped front fenders , most of been a drag race thing at the time .

    Yeah but the guys like me who lived in and grew up in Inglewood did so the they could drag race their Corvette. Their shop shared a building with Thurstons Top Shop that specialized in convertible tops. On Manchester between La Brea and Market…
