I went on a call to look at some antiques in a barn this weekend. I'm an antique dealer and I go on these calls several times a week. Usually I end up buying old furniture, lamps, household merch, etc. I have never found a good old car or motorcycle in the 20 years that I have been an antique dealer. Untill now. The place is full from floor to ceiling with the usual furniture & antiques. As I am looking around I spot a fender here, a tank there the frame in the corner. This is what I have dug out so far. I'm going back on Thursday. Hopefully the rest of the bike will turn up. It's a 1947 Indian Cheif.

If anyone has any parts for this bike please contact me... I'm not really a bike guy so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet. I might sell it or trade it, I don't know yet. I'll know on Thursday if the rest of the bike is in the barn. If it ends up being complete or mostly complete I will most likley keep it and try to get it going. Right now it is missing motor & trans, seat, generator, right side footboard & footbrake parts, ignition switch, exhaust, nuts & bolts & I'm sure some other stuff.

If I remember right, didn't most guys toss the fenders because they were a mother to work on? Rare to see them together after all these years. Nice score!

  19. Nice Starsky stripe on the tanks! I'd put an electric motor or a Briggs and Stratton, or anything in it to get it going enough to putt around.

    Thanks.
