Event Coverage Glory Days drag race 2025

Had a great day at the Glory Days drag race in Byron Illinois.

 

Hopefully future hot rodders!

and cheaper beer than the west!

 

If Detroit ever wants me to buy a new car…they’ll have to build something like this, again.

I've attended and enjoyed Glory Days a couple times in the past few years and I'm kind of surprised at how few people there are in the stands.

Looks like there were a lot of great cars there. A few of them I recognized from the past.

Great pics. I really like the one of the Valiant (shamless plug). We packed it in friday night after i broke the rear end in Dads Dodge coupe.

 

all my pictures are from Friday. I don't know if Saturday was any better attended. Was a great time just the same.

It was raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock where I live, just figured it would'a been rained out. Guess I was dead wrong!

I was there Friday & Saturday,...Sat morning it started raining about 9:30 till about 11 AM
...then it started to clear off as they dried the track.
By 2 o'clock or so they were back to racing as the sun came out, and they got some good racing in.
