Newbie Intro

I've been lurking around this site for a few weeks now, and finally decided to join. Kustomscaraudio got me hooked, and I can't seem to stay away. I live in North Texas, and I have a '49 ford Coupe that I am building for myself. For those of you that went to the Kulture Krawl this past weekend, you probably saw the 29 model A at Matt's shop In Sanger. That's one of my projects I'm builiding for a customer. Anyway, just wanted to give a little info before I start commenting on other topics.

Is it just my imagination or do all the Texas guys drive shuboxes? Don't get me wrong, I love shuboxes but damn! The last 476 newbies from Texas claim their car is a 49-51 ford coupe! Must have been a pile of 'em sold there. Hmmmmm, maybe I should plan a "search and recover" mission to Texas..

So, I'm wondering...if I come flying low, in a chopped way radical '57 Chevy down thru Denton, on the way to the Kontinental's Austin event the end of March, you'll look the other way now that you're a HAMBurglar?

Shoebox, eh? Don't know much about them, other than they are Fords...never had much call for a Ford...

I had to read the post twice to figure out the police thing. That aint fair, I hate to have to dig for info.
well never mind, you can write me a ticket if you like. as a matter of fact I'll just send you my info and you can mail it to me. I've broken plenty of laws on my way through Denton. Consider it a toll.

In fact I don't even know who's being called a cop.
Is there some inside off board personal knowledge going on here?

 

Well, I actually work for the Sanger Police, north of Denton. If you get pulled over in Denton, you're on your own. If I recognize any cars from the HAMB, I may stop ya to say howdy...Don't forget the doughnuts. FYI, NO jelly.
