OK, I gotta confess. I read the HAMB at work, at home, and often check in on the HAMB over my blackberry. I was out of the country two weeks ago, and went into an internet cafe just to surf the HAMB.... Needless to say I'm catchin' major flack from my girlfriend over this obsession. Tell me I'm not alone.
i **** around and laugh when i think about being addicted to the hamb, but here i am reading this post at work..... by the way, this addiction to "social networking" (that's what we call this kinda stuff at work-- i work at Yahoo) is real. It what keeps kids overweight, lazy and indoors..... it's what keeps hambers fat, lazy and probably out of the shop more than some would like to admit. yeah, i feel slightly addicted to this thing... -scott noteboom
you and 10,000 others, I figure it cost me a minimum of 50 bucks an hour (I'm self employed) just think what it cost your boss!!
I'm on here at least 5 times a day. What can I say? I ran out of money for my projects, and it's about all I can afford to do these days. ~Jason
I LOG ON AS SOON AS I GET TO WORK AT 6:00 AM AND CHECK IN ATLEAST 8 TIMES A DAY-THEN LOG ON EFORV I GO TO BED -LOVE THIS FRIGGIN SITE
I check it out every half an hour.. endless knowledge on the Hamb. that and im leaving to basic training on monday so i realy have nothing else to do.
I can't spend all day listing **** on eBay! The HAMB keeps us in touch with reality. All the great car people are here.
You are not alone, i am on all day long at work, and then i log on before i go to the shop and again when i come home from the shop. if there was a 12 step program we would call it a meet n greet and go back home and get on the site again
And I thought I wasn't the only one!!!!!!!! This is the reason why my cars (2) never get worked on and it is causing me to have a bad relationship which is even worse. Is there a "detox" board on here that Ryan and the other moderators are not telling us about? KNUX!
i should be leaving to go to cl*** right now but ill probably just look around the hamb for another hour or two until i need another halo2 fix or a cigarette
IT'S all FIddy's fault He's a HAMB pusher!Gives you one innocent little link on some other site and BAMB!!!he's got ya strung out and you just gotta get that HAMB fix as soon as your neara computer,at least thats how the HAMB got me!I'm hooked real bad
My time on the HAMB SAVES me money. 1. I learn from the mistakes of others. 2. I learn how to do it right the first time. 3. I learn what NOT to do. 4. I learn how to do things PROPERLY. In short the HAMB has saved me lots of money and perhaps even my life. (How's THAT for JUSTIFICATION and denial?????)
It's kind of creepy how "The HAMB" has become a regular part of my conversation with friends and my girlfriend. Like, "Today on the HAMB ..." the eyerolling is worth it though. I'm constantly logged on at work, and have given people the "I'm really busy with this project..." line while I'm flipping through thread after thread. Hope they don't find me out.
I don't have a computer at home so sad to say that i look forward to coming into work just to log on. Yup it's bad alright.
Your not alone. If I would be in the garage as much as I am on here maybe my car would be done. Damn.
At work, I usually am just nosey or glad i can help someone along the way. At home, I am rarely ever on cept right before bed, I'll log on for a few minutes. When I'm on at home it usuaslly means I have stopped from working in the garage and need help or direction. TV???? no such thing in my book. Now thats a problem when you spend 2-3 hours a night watching something stupid like pimp my ride or desperate housewives.
I sell on ebay quite a bit, if I spent as much time listing items as I do on the HAMB I would have run out of parts to sell long ago. my computer is in my shop where I work on my own cars and the cars of others, plus cars I do to sell. I can't go more than 2 hours without checking the HAMB ...and the worst part? it is cutting into my **** time.
