It's time! Just a few days away and the weather is looking fantastic, dry and high seventies. Bring your sun hat and beverage money.
    upload_2025-7-20_16-47-45.jpeg

This is my first year as a bonified member and I'm changing it up, bringing my roadster. I have it up on the lift de-griming it after some spirited adventures this spring. I requested a spot inside the building again, my wife enjoyed the AC and restrooms in the main building. It also gives you a nice home base to keep your cooler, purchases, chairs and whatnot. Also makes a great respite for my barking dogs after tooling around on the fairground for miles on end.

I will be relaying photos of those entries I deem to be HAMB worthy (or that I can crop the 20" wheels out of ). And I will start another thread on the OT thread since last year the muscle cars and big wheel rides were plentiful and first class! Be sure to check that one out as well. Good Guys brings in some sweet rides, regardless your personal tastes.

I hope to see some of you up there. Anyone making plans to attend?

If you are going, feel free to post your pics here but be mindful of the rules and if it doesn't fit the traditional hot rod/custom recipe (including big wheels...referring to rims not the plastic trikes:cool:), I have another thread over on the OT board you can post them in. I want to see them all (not the plastic trikes:rolleyes:)!

Just post ALL your pictures on the Non-Traditional site and put a note on here for everyone to go over there if they want to view them...........I'm sure your pictures will be tasteful, but its a PITA trying to be sure you didn't miss something on a picture or two and get your whole post deleted. Post them on the non-traditional side and then those that want to see them ......will.

I'll be about, you bringing one of your cars/trucks? Beats parking on the street and walking in.

That is true but visiting the OT board for some on here is like visiting a leper colony, scary to consider but once your there you find there's more leg room.

You should venture out West here and check out the NW car scene, it's pretty neat.
I haven't been to the Puyallup GG's shindig in a long time but it was a yearly treck North for us for a number of years, if you do visit don't forget your Sasquatch spray.

I just want to know who you know to be able to "request a spot" Even Butch Leanord (sp?) had to get in line in the very wee hours to get one of those prime spots up in that area. I've seen some of the top cars around in that line down the side of the Fairgrounds at early dark 30 waiting to grab a prime spot.
I haven't been to it since about 2010 when we drove over for the day on Saturday.

A few of the Cali and other cars from a ways away that were a Victoria for NW Deuce Days this past weekend may be there if they decide to poke around the PNW for a bit.

    Hey @Bandit Billy
I will be there on Saturday, I am easy to spot, in this adorned, old beat up straw hat, with the heavy
    Nikon D-600 around my neck.

Looking forward to seeing you and all of the great machines that attend this great annual event.

    Thanks from Dennis.

if you want fewer people to see your pics that would be the best way to get it done.:) a photo thread gets comments and bumped to the top with every one. a note will be on page 3 quickly never to be seen again. I have had more pictures deleted than most people have posted. I rarely go to the other side.

Come on over............the weather is fine and you don't have to worry about being deleted. It's like the old saying, The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Come over to the other side and get a different result.

I think there are a lot more of them that visit than just the ones who are willing to admit it. If you post your pictures there, you might draw many more of them over.

It would be nice to meet you one day. I’ll take care of that drink for ya!

Yeah, I should be able to spot you Dennis. Bring your sun cream

I have a few threads over there on the dark side. Once you get used to a spare arm or leg lying around, The OT Colony isn’t that bad. Sort of a mix between Hollywood Knights and Zombieland.

On the bright side I worked all day cleaning my roadster up. It has gotten a bit road grimed this spring. I dropped my ancient bottle of Maguire's leather cleaner and of course the old plastic bottle broke. It was still 1/3rd full so I ended up treating the entire car including trunk, hood straps, shift boots, carpet binding, behind the seat, my Silverado, my wife’s jeep, etc. fun times, fun times.

I’m ready to go play cars.

    Nice pic @DDDenny
I’ve gotten hooked on the quality of cars that show up for Good Guys, I like local shows but there is a big step up in builds at this event.

I’m looking forward to seeing cars that push the boundaries not just follow the formula.

I don't want a different result, I want HOT RODs and Customs.

People that know me ask why I don't go to car shows anymore, the short answer is............
I've been to "The Promised Land" (Pleasanton GG's) about a dozen times and that's a tough act to follow.
That, and in my old age, the legs and feet aren't there when I need them.

Well Mr. Bandit looks like I blew it. again, DAMN IT all :mad:!!. I don't follow that scene much these days what with my sable being empty (even down to my RV, & Silverado ((I have my Buick Enclave only but no drivie)). Being afoot and dependent on daughters and my brother SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I spent my one day of grace yesterday, Saturday, at a high school reunion, not class (my brother drove us.) (me class of '1957, no other '57 grad showed). My wife, (Jan) daughter came in for her).
So you can see where that levees me for next weekend. "SH**" I'm in Federal Way, twenty minutes away on a good day. There is always a chance though I might get down. In any case you and the better half of you, THE MOST IMOPTANT HALF enjoy the greatest car show ever the Great PNW.
    Lar.

I agree with you buddy, my better half is the real reason we are going again this year. She had such a good time last year walking around, meeting people, taking pictures of cars and eating fair food, she had the entry form filled out and mailed in before I knew we were going! She is a keeper, if I could only teach her how to run the buffer.
@34Larry you sit back, relax and I will provide the coverage, just like being there without aching feet!

I hear ya buddy. I was kick starting my daughter's dirt bike and my left leg just went out from under me, fine one second, bike on top of me the next. Sciatic thing, when it hits, it's on! There are days I am glad to have a "girl car" to drive , at least until I can get in for surgery (me, not the cars).

  29. Jealous of the PNW climate. We were at GG Des Moines a couple weeks ago and it was like the surface of the sun. Great event but really hot.

Our summers are really ideal. Here it is nearing the end of July and we haven't seen 100 degrees locally. Car shows at 70-80 are just fine by me! I know the Heartland has been HOT this summer.
