That is what I use for a failure resistant install.

EDIT: Note - RTV can render any exhaust A/F sensors useless. If you have exhaust EGO sensors better stay away from red RTV.

 

Russ, no recommendation on a filter, it’s just common to go from a pump thru a filter to the main engine gallery.

I installed a screen in the suction from the pan to the pump to catch “ the big chunks” and Joe always complained about it as he saw it as a restriction. I still use the screen device since it was my oil pan. It’s in a -12 line.
Thanks for the compliments but you guys have skills way beyond mine. I just hate to see an engine hurt because I missed something or just didn’t know…..

 

I have screens in the pan and a filter in the return to the oil tank. Appreciate your input.

I'm saddened to say that I Won't be going to Speed Week this year. I'm tending to my wife who has Altimers.
However Dave Russell And the crew Will be going. I know they will do what needs to be done and I will be in contact with them as needed.
I want to thank the Crew for representing Team 640 withought me at the helm. We have a great crew chief with Rick Steiner and the crew will be at 110 percent as usual.

XO/FMPP (Vintage/Fuel Modified Production Pickup) - new class, and I think they are the only ones running, so 106.572 could be the record after the last run of Speedweeks!

 

Chatting with @john mullen , looks like they bumped that up a bit and are headed to impound....Stay tuned! I'll let John give official updates!

 

Going to impound on a 124.761 MPH run withought the nitrous working.
They will fix the issue before there backup run in the morning and bump the record up from todays run.
