sorry Joey...there is a reason I drive a banger....can't trust myself with any more horse power than that...
My old boss constantly gave me **** about how slow I did my work! ***hole calls me into his office sits me down and says that I'm working slower than the other guys, I ask him to tell me how many call backs they have compared to me? Well it seems that they each have several call backs and I have none! So well duh, I explain to him that I do things right the first time and all of my customers are very happy! I ask the dumb *** if he'd rather have me do things quickly or do them right? Well gee then he gets the brilliant idea that if customers are happy then I'm providing great customer service and it makes him look good! End of discussion!!! Give me the "oddball!"
I drag raced in the late 60's early 70's. I have owned five 32 Roadsters and one with a blower motor. Just give me a cool roadster with the wind blowing my hair and a nice long road and you are in another world!
I've got too many life experiences to not consider the consequences. I'd happily tow them to meets and gatherings and cackle, but I'd not be able to run any of those at 10/tenths, which is the way they should be run if they still meet safety, which they almost certainly do not. Reality stinks sometimes.
They would have been Excited times, cool cars, I've dreamt of a nearly too nasty for the street RPU but can't see it happening any time soon, thanks for the insite
Hello, Our second choice for a hot rod build was an open roadster. The next build was to be a Model A Roadster for the Altered Roadster cl***. We wanted to be able to drive it on the street, but realized, it had to have different seating, if we moved the motor back 25 %. We were going to move the big, Buick V8 motor back 10% for the street legal gas coupe cl*** build, but were allowed to move the motor 25% back for the Altered or Modified Roadster Cl***. So, where were the p***engers supposed to sit? The idea was this type of modification. But, realized, its limitations in this style for the street and for going against those that move the motor back 25 %. So, back to the drawing boards. Jnaki So, this is what we would have to do and perhaps qualify for the street legal, A/SR or A/Street Roadster cl***. All fenders, 10% set back, upholstery, license, etc. And, a weekend cruiser to the local hangouts…YRMV...
