On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to HAMB and country and obey the traditional law. [pledged whilst presenting the HAMB salute, similar to boy scout salute but without the index or ring finger]

To save on phone batteries, I suggested that Mrs. BB be in charge of taking pictures of the Off Topic cars and I'll handle the traditional rides. She asked how to tell them apart, I started explaining and decided it was easier to bring a battery back up for recharging.

She is a pretty lousy judge of length, wait, what?

You'll see them, she likes to take pictures of what she likes. I should make a special section for her.

I'll post up what you missed this year. I am getting anxious to hit the road.

It's 95degrees here in central Washington today. Miserable day for prepping the truck and trailer and packing stuff for the weekend. I am looking forward to that 70-80 degree Puyallup weather tomorrow. They are supposed to reopen the I 90 highway 18 interchange at 5 am Friday morning. I hope they do since that will save me at least an hour of driving and at least 10 points on my blood pressure count.

Along with the Canon camera you saw a couple of years ago I pack a Panasonic Lumix point and shoot that is smaller than my phone and has a removable battery and SD card. The phone I have now probably takes better quality photos but I like not having my phone loaded down with photos.

We made it! Just a couple hour up the freeway. Pretty easy going. We checked in at the Best Western about 2 miles from the fair grounds. Nice place, our room has a nice view of the car walking station the hotel put together. Caught a guy cleaning his woody. Usually you have to peak inside to see that sort of thing.

We are set up inside the Show building. Got a cool parking spot in the center of the floor. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot.
    IMG_7475.jpeg
the fair grounds are going through major renovations this year. A lot of buildings have been removed and with it a lot of parking spots for the display cars.

We plan to get there early to watch the cars come in but there is a Dennys in our hotel paring lot so I will need to have an omelet first. Priorities!

I still haven’t found it yet. There is a lot of ground to cover here. I got 9000 steps in, Mrs BB got 12000 but she has shorter legs.

Thanks for the photos, Billie. I drove my ratty ol' 50 chevy sedan delivery from Omaha out to Puyallup one year. Had a blast! Stopped at B'ville on the way back to take a impromptu 1 mile run on the salt. 50deliveryRockys.jpg

The Bandit and his lovely wife! They did get a great parking spot for the weekend. This was my first time to see the roadster in person. It's a great car, with a lot of little details that just keep discovering as you walk around the car. Of course there is the bonus of having the Bandit explain how all of those special details were conceived and developed Into this beautiful roadster.

I am writing this very early Saturday mornintrg as I lay on my cot in my car trailer listening to a constant parade of obnoxiously loud hotrods slowly make their way into the fairgrounds. I think the first car (it sounded like a blown hemi) got in line at 2:30 am!
