5 Hours Out Our Back Door...Always Fun...

 

Starting tomorrow LSR Live – Grab'n for gears, look'n for speed I like to watch it on my TV rather than the computer as I have my wifi hooked to the Dish Hopper.

It's not Jon, so I doubt it will be worth the effort. It was horrible last year.

 

Herculean effort…livestream is getting better every year…looking forward to the 2025 broadcasts!

 

My last time was 89 with my good friend Mark Dees. Running down the black line in a hopped up lawn mower would be the ultimate hot rod experience. It should be at the top of everyone’s bucket list. Life is shorter than you think, go for it.

High winds shut down racing early today

 

Racing was shut down approx. 4:20 pm as Mr48chev stated above. Here are some pictures of the localized system that caused the wind. Fortunately the salt didn't get a drop of water!

I will attempt to embed a short clip of leaving the salt in the wind - not nearly as damaging as the wind Friday.

 

Very brief clip I took driving out - there was so much salt blowing into the car I had to set the phone down to cover the side of my head

 

Also got to see Lucky's coupe - beautiful car, pictures do not do it justice! I ambushed him & his crew as they were making some post run gearing changes. Good guys all around - crossing my fingers the car continues to improve with each p***!

 

Wow a lot of beauties on the salt. Wish I could be there. Good luck guys and gals, have fun, be safe and drive fast .

 

Didn't get any pics yesterday, was trying to get the race car sorted and through tech. New motor, still working on the tune. Got almost to the starting line then the wind hit.

 

Rest in peace Chris Raschke - from every source it sounds like he was a wonderful guy. The Speed Demon III was an incredible machine. If I bite the dust, I hope it is doing something I love.

 

May his memory be eternal.
