Could I get measurements from a fixed point to the front of the pulley on both setups? Maybe front of pulley to bearing plate/front cover seam? Also the OD of the v belt pulley. That’ll help me decide between gilmer and v belt and do very basic mockup for radiator clearance. If I decide to try to duplicate the v belt stuff, I may think up more questions. Your coupes are badass. Thanks!

Thanks again, this is helpful. It looks like that drive shaft sandwiches a bearing between a shoulder and a circlip. Makes sense.

Unfortunately, I don’t think I could hide a stretch on a fendered 35 cleanly. There’s too much swoopy stuff going on in that front sheetmetal. I’ll have to get into the firewall.

Ha, I’m sure I’ll find something to break….

Sweet! Thanks for your help! A guys steps out into the backyard for an hour, and great things happen on the H.A.M.B. For those following along, Moriarity and CTaulbert are hooking me up with files to laser cut Cragar idler pulley mounting plates that copy Moriarity’s Cragar Competition gilmer drive. Pics shamelessly stolen from a 2023 thread:

    Thank you!

    You got this.

If I can do it, you can do it too. Just read-up and go to it.
