Not so sure about “no return road”. Some places started rails by push down track to build oil pressure about 1/3 then make turn back to start line- swap lanes; start engine on way back; swap lanes; line up & go. Return lane was way off track in parking pits not by stands.
There is a return road right in front of the spectators. The landscape looks a little like Fremont, but I didn't make it there until the Nostalgia Drags in the early '80's. I'm trying to remember what side the tower was on.
I recognized that Delivery right away, that’s Willie’s Pie Wagon and IIRC I think the car was from the San Diego area. Would nearby strips have been Carlsbad and Ramona?
Fordors is correct! It's San Diego Raceway, which was located at Ramona airport, Ramona, CA. At 0:18 you can see a plane taking off in the background and at 0:20 you get a glimpse of the San Diego Raceway sign.
