My very first car was a yellow '53 Chevy four door. Blue Flame 235 inch six with an iron Powerglide behind it. I think the only differences between the '53 and '54 were the round center of the taillights on the '53, and some changes in the front grille on the '54.

'54 has plastic covered wiring, a 60 lb oil pressure gauge, a better steering box, chrome that didn't turn gray
