I've bought some of these style
    https://ebay.us/m/oVTHfz
LED's to replace my old sealed beams on my 58 Buick, but have found they dont fit the lamp bucket due to the back of the LED's being too big and square, has anybody had any luck modifying the old Buick buckets? Is there a kit to buy that allows them to be fitted?

Try Holley Look Original, they make some seal beam that are Led , they are few hundred thoe.
    Cut hole in Original bucket?
Modification below is for non-seal beam.

Some others are going to Junk yards /pick apart getting Led head light , ***emblies / bucket's
Cutting out the back side of where bub is on the donor head light ( hole saw)
Then adapting to a Original bucket with glue /panel adhesive,

afew month ago there was a thread
Here On how the HAMBer modified

Can't help you with that style, but I have Hella H4 conversion lamps in my 50. They fit without modification to the buckets, and H4 LEDs are available to be swapped in.

We did a similar Octane halogen conversion on my son's 70 Catalina. They also worked without modification to the bucket.

I tried some cheap LED lights, they didn't work very well...poor fit (they had the clocking wrong), and the light pattern was awful. I got some of the Holley lights, they're pretty expensive, but they work well and fit without any issues.

this in my 62 Corvette. GM generally used the same buckets for all the 58-newer 4 light systems.

I put the Holley lamps in my 57 and they work great. They are spendy, but don't look out of place.

neat. I ordered a pair of rectangular ones from Summit for Cheep (which probably is against Cheep policy?) and will see how they work.

I got the summit brand LED headlights for Cheep today. They are the rectangular style. There is a divider in the middle, the top and bottom halves are separate. The reflector is also a separate plastic piece, it does not use the gl*** shell as the reflector. There is a cable to connect the plug, not just terminals.

Here are a few pictures. One installed so far. I'm waiting for it to get dark and go for a drive.

Low and high beam. The beam is very centered, not spread out like it should be...

this is with the LED light only on the p*** side still.

but its not really dark yet, still waiting to see how it works.

If you do not like , are they refundable?
After driving many old cars I found weird to get use to the Narrow Horizontal beam , Not enough vertical horizon, like over driving light beam.
Around 80mph .they are bright thoe.
Holley does not have this Issue for me.

It got dark, so I drove around more...did some adjusting, installed the other headlight, drove more, more adjusting, and in the end I'm happy with them. I wouldn't like to be the guy in front of me, though. I probably need to aim them back down just a bit.

    Low beams in my driveway.

High beams, while moving, so the image is weird. It lights up the road a long way ahead.

Again, these are the Summit brand 5x7 rectangular LED headlights,

    not the Holleys.

The Summit lights claim to be a gl*** lens, and they look like it.

Both the Holley and Summit lights work well. Neither one looks quite like the original lights--the Holley has the wrong shape lens, it's too flat, while the Summit has weird looking insides, although they're not real noticeable compared to many other LED headlights.

Not quire the same configuration, but I put focused LEDs in my ‘34 and they are a big improvement as well as a lot less current draw on the 6 volt system.

I bought one of these, but in chrome, they sell them seperately, really cheap, so I bought one and will see how it fits. Even modifying the buckets wouldnt work, and the originals are sealed beams , so I cannot even change the bulbs to the H4 LED's. I'll see how it fits with this holder and report back.
