Hi all, The name is Greg, Ive been working with custom cars for about 25 years now, mostly fifties cars and strictly hobby stuff. My first car was a 61 Chrysler. I got it because it was in great shape, the price was right, and I loved how over the top the Virgil Exner styling was. This was a car that came from the factory already customized! I still have this ride and it is my daily summer driver (and always will be). I also have a 56 ford wagon I bought as a parts wagon and it is slowly getting too nice for that designation. I have done most of the mechanical work on it making it fast and reliable and am approaching the bodywork phase. This may take a while as I am trying to avoid pulling it off the road for any length of time. The real reason I am on the HAMB is my new project, a kick ***, down and dirty, traditional 31 ford truck rod. I intend to do it as old school as possible, but know none of the tricks and lessons time teaches, as this has not been a part of my previous course of lessons in the school of hard knocks. My hope is to accelerate this learning by listening and sharing with those of you who have been there and done that. I sincerely look forward to getting to know everyone who shares similar projects and p***ions. Thanks for having me on board, Greg
