Hell yeah man! Looking forward to this year! We'll figure out the tailgate situation, it's no big deal, hell if i have to order it and pay them to ship it that's what I'll do. I want a 1-2-3 transaction lol. Simple. I hate to pay them $1100 and then have them tell you that they have no idea what you're talking about when you show up to get it! Id rather give you the cash so you can just walk in and buy it. You do realize that we have unsettled business? Right? Might have to go old school and have a little street grudge match :D

  2. I’m all for this! I better ride with Bill to even out the weight difference! Flag Start? Or flashlight like on American Graffiti?

Local guy that has owned it for decades - it a typical car done in the 80s - some patches, rough paint and questionable modifications.....right up my ally - it's got a 350 4 speed and the rear wheel wells are opened up - a buddy already took a look and just had too much going on with other projects so I may go take a look and make an offer this week

Let me try one more source before you do this. Tomorrow is Monday, I'll call him.

Thank ya sir. The other door is rust free. So I figured I'd get ahead of the game.

Have you tried Justin Wilkerson for the gate? He posts on all of the tri five facebook pages with parts. I contacted him about a gate myself. He said he has a bunch. Just a bit far for me to travel at this time for one. He is in Russel Springs, KY.

Night shift lol..... gotta change doors and fenders, and swap cams. Bought a new intake, and I'm gonna put the 750 on it. It's miserable hot right now. Can't really spray anything. Running slow activator and Reducer in everything, but it's still a pain. Primer is drying before it hits the panel lol. So I'm doing more in the mornings and evenings. Just sweating through the middle of the day. I'm looking to hire somebody. The last guy that asked about a job got upset and walked out when I told him i needed his birthday and social so I could run a background check on him :D

Well I've went back and forth. And I talked to the guy that I bought the car from the other night. He asked if I've painted it yet, I told him i thought about leaving it the way it is. He told me I'm crazy if I don't paint it, so i figured if he didn't give a ****, then neither do I. So it's getting painted.

  22. In that case just paint it black. Hehe.

I know CF55 was just pulling your chain, but PLEASE don't paint it black. Clarence was black for several years. That thing was miserably hot whenever the sun was shining. My friends who had ridden in it all had nicknames for it. None of them were complementary.

Here's what it looked like in 1998. Some of you with sharp eyes will probably recognize the other cars in the pic.

Gloss black cars are cooler in the sun. They reflect some of the suns rays rather than absorbing them. Actually, I have nothing to back that up.

No black. Shiny or flat lol. My plan is still orange, with panels, endless line, maybe some fish scales, diamonds, etc... and the top will be laced. I like this diamond pattern for some of the panels... Screenshot_20241226_133636_TikTok.jpg

I'm thinking a mountain dew green, flake, with the airbrush work over that.

That's the plan. Cam and intake swap, then I'll put the support and radiator back for break in. Then I'm gonna swap out the doors, then the fenders. It's supposed to be cooler starting tmrw, but I don't work on my junk during business hours, so I'll jump in there tmrw evening and get that camshaft changed.
