'65 Dodge Custom Sport Special

    I have known of this for about 20 years and was finally able to take a closer look and get some pics.
    Same owner since '82ish. Came out of Wyoming with a big car 413 in it.
    He has found what he claims is a 'correct' 426 and is in the process of rebuilding it.

    Nice. I would love to find a factory 426W truck. Ive seen a few real ones at Carlisle and the Nats, but not many around.

    I built my 68 model year version of one with a 383, mine had a car 4 speed. It was a lot of fun until someone wanted it real bad. I have no factual information about what happened to it after that, but I did hear there was a 68 Dodge truck with a big block running pretty well at the drag strip 40 miles away, shortly after I sold my truck. I was into dirt track racing at the time, I didn't have much interest in drag racing. The truck was just another funding operation for my dirt track addition.
