I remember an old interview with Jesse James (the bike guy) where he said he would never paint a car yellow or own a yellow car. I've heard some negative things about yellow on a car but I kinda like it. I am interested in what the consensus is here on the HAMB.
Is yellow cool or not? 20250726_192304.jpg

When I had a used car lot in the 80's - 90's I could not sell a yellow or green car. It could be half the price of a similar car. They all went to auction with no reserve.

No yellow for me. When I worked for a used car lot we had "Stay Around Brown", and "Resale Red". I don't ever remember having a yellow car on the lot.

  6. As a wise man once said, they call it mellow yellow, quite rightly.

I guess you could call "Goddess Gold" yellow. It's on my current ride. 1000000758.jpg

I’ve owned close to two hundred cars in my years and only one was yellow, never again…

Back in the 80's, there used to be a stunningly beautiful Deuce hiboy roadster that used to cruise the beach between Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. Just right in every way!

Not a fan, but wouldn't rule it out for the right car.

I'm sure Dan's excellent photography has a lot to do with it.....but this yellow is without a doubt cool.

I've had a lot of yellow cars, they seem to attract bugs. I like the mild yellows, not the chrome yellows.

I've never been a fan of yellow cars but wouldn't say no to the right one. Funny thing is that one that checks a lot of boxes and is eye blinding yellow showed up for sale this morning at what isn't an outlandish price.

Jesse always said it was the color of piss and fear. I have owned just one, a yellow 69 Mach 1, flat black hood, headlight doors, rear spoiler and louvers. That weird reflective Mach 1 stripe down the side.
