Funny you mention the bugs, my old Nova (lemon ice paint) had bugs on it at all times!!

 

I like a chrome yellow on the right car.

Some cars look really good yellow, but it needs to be the right yellow for the car. My Dad loved yellow. He painted his 54 Chevy truck a pale 64 era VW Bug yellow. It looked really good. I would not p*** on a yellow car, now don't get me started on silver, I hate silver. Two of my favorite yellows is Porsche Speed yellow, and Ferrari Fly yellow. I'm going to step out into enemy territory here, Boyd Coddington built one of his high tech Boydster 2's. It was yellow with a color matched yellow leather interior. When I saw it at Oakland, I thought it was the coolest thing I'd seen. Mostly because of the yellow interior. It didn't win the AMBR that year, but they took it back, painted it red, changed the interior color, brought it back to Oakland, and won the AMBR with it. Just remember, yellow attracts bugs. my off topic truck is red with yellow flames. The yellow will be covered with bugs sitting on it, while the red next to the yellow won't have any bugs sitting on it.

 

This is one of my favorite yellow cars.

I have a lot of yellow haters friends and my wife. My oldest son likes orange. I like all colors if they are the right shade and on the right car.

 

Helped my buddy put together this yellow '29 back when we were kids.



Back before that I built a yellow T bucket.



And the guy I sold it to painted it green another one of those colors.

Our 37 Dodge coupe with my wife, and daughter back in the day. I even painted my A coupe yellow at one time.

 

From 1968 to about 2017 at least one of my vehicles was yellow. First was a 1968 F-250, last was an old International
school bus with several off topic rides in between.....
I really like Royalshifters pickup....

Yellow cars don't bug me, depends on the car.

 

I concur with the green, all the cars that I seem to go look at are green- bottom feeders curse I guess. Last car I bought was yellow, I have a friend that has been making this statement for years.

I don't have a problem with yellow cars or bikes for that matter. I painted a '66 Triumph chopper yellow back in the early 70's and have owned a couple of yellow cars...

Still own the '56.
