Fingernails are the perfect tools to pick, pry, scrape and scratch. Just don't understand why they have to hurt SO MUCH when used incorrectly:eek:

IMG_2730.jpeg The IH 4000 swather we have has a AMC 6 engine. The water pump pulley groove is worn out . I couldn’t find a steel replacement so I ordered an aluminum one of eBay . I got it and the grove was for a narrow belt . Took it to a machine shop and had the groove cut wider . It lasted a day before the dirt and dust wore the groove out . I tried belt dressing , spray on adhesive but the new belt continued to squeal . I found a steel weld on pulley that is close to the diameter of the water pump pulley . I put the old pulley in the lathe and cut off the worn out part. I turned it down to where the new pulley fit snugly onto the offset flange . I then tack welded it together. IMG_2732.jpeg

Occasionally would get the wrench light on a '10 Escape hybrid, suspected it was the TB, known issue on 08/09 models.
But that is proprietary Fjord wrench code stuff that my podunk Bosch code reader nor the Innova scanner will find. TB finally died, on the freeway while passing of course, and lit up the dash like a Christmas tree. Actual code of P2112. Got her a Hitachi(stop thinking that pervs) TB. Original Ford TB was stiff and felt roughish. Hitachi was much smoother.
Opened the Ford TB up and the motor was not smooth to turn. Was hoping it would be readily serviceable but it is not.

Neighbor picked up an '05 MCSS supercharged. No coolant in the reservoir, it had massive toe-in, and the newest tire is 15years old and bald.
Fixed the toe in issue for him in about 20mins. But he has yet to add coolant or scheduled tire replacement. Brakes are also goober, brake 'fluid' is gelatinous.
But he keeps driving it. *shrug*.

Supervising my son & his friend installing a new exhaust on a Dodge Cummings.
Five inch pipe! Oddly, the new setup has no muffler. Hmm...
