Has to be nice to have some good original parts to bolt on rather than some aftermarket piece that fit like crap.

I'm sure you meant, "Considering the reputations of the folks in those parts, not just Lloyd, those bullet holes probably won't be fake". I can say that and get away with it, my people came from those parts.

was that Justin's place? I need to get a lift gate for my wagon also. I tried to get him to bring it to Iola for me but he was hesitant on bringing bigger items. I'm looking forward to what you come up with for a paint job.

He told me he is going to Springfield Ohio this weekend, but he already had a trailer loaded. Yeah he's pretty awesome, knows his shit for sure. I have paint and ideas, but we'll see how it all works out once it's in the paint booth :D

Front end is back together. Much much better now. Doors aren't a 1/2" thick, no metal flashing riveted in the doors and fenders lol. Next up is a gate and hatch  20250826_150655.jpg

  28. Sometimes I like patchwork, and sometimes I like patina. That said, I’m excited you are going for a repaint. Feels right for this one. Did you mention lace work?

Yeah i bought a huge piece of lace for the top lol. I'm gonna shoot the car white, then lay out all of the paneling. It's gonna be tangerine orange pearl. I've got some flake too, .004, but I'm not sure where or if I'll use it. Gonna do endless line in some of the panels, fish scales, diamonds, etc in others. At least that's the plan so far lol

I might lace the panels on the hood.
