Cali Bros. John and Frank, friends of mine. The car was sponsored by Jack Merkel and Vinnie Tarantola of Vitar Hydros. Car started out with a biggish Sbc. I think around 364" ran A/G. Around 67 I found them a injected 426 hemi and they put that in. "Coney Island" Ralph Landolfi also sponsored by JM. Ralph went through a few Anglias. The last one was a beautiful nostalgia car, at this point Frank Cali was working for Ralph and built that car. Frank Cali and Eddie Sanzo opened up 1320 Automotive. in Brooklyn in the late 60's. All these guys are gone it was a great time and I thank God I was there and knew them all.

D&J out of Cincinnati. Great engine builders, always had strong running cars, built a lot of engines for racers in the area.

This is the only picture I could find of the S&K Speed Shops B/G Anglia. I watched it run many times on the Dragway's on Long Island. SK Anglia.jpg

The engine setback looks excessive. I'm surprised it still fit the Gas cl*** rules, and not plunked into an Altered cl***. Maybe its the camera angle?

I think but can't say exactly but this car may have been campaigned by the Haase Bros. who ran a Willys coupe out of S&K they also worked there. 57Fury our paths may have crossed at some time I lived on LI from 66 to 80 and I'm your age.
