The modern glue in windshield with no trim ruins this car for me. It would have been so much better with the original windshield trim.
the thing above is not really a "late model" kustom like the original poster was looking for. Should be later than 1965 for starters. This looks like a bastardized version of the Car Craft Dream Rod. It was made with pre-65 stuff, like '60 Pontiac doors and front fenders, and an early 60's Corvair rear. And the wheels/tires are aweful.
This is weird, I'm quoting myself from page 3 of this thread. But it feels appropriate because @Sky Six sent me a PM after deleting the pictures I was referencing above. He says "Okie Dokie, you win, I won't be posting on the HAMB anymore" Huh?? I don't win. The HAMB doesn't win. I just pointed out the fact that a car was not a Late Model Kustom as was asked for in the original post, therefore didn't belong in this thread. Nothing to be thin-skinned about. It happened to me, I had a picture called out and deleted from some Paso Robles coverage. I got to going posting pics I had shot in 2001, and a modernized version of a kustom that had big wheels and rubber band tires made it in the thread. Oops, live and learn. Thankfully I did not do what I would have done as a 6 year old ... get offended and take my toys and go home. Back to Late Model kustom pics.
that Dream Rod roadster actually does belong here. It was built by a guy that used to own the dream rod. He built it with modern components such as suspension and EFI late model engine. It belongs in the off topic forum just as well as a 32 ford does with modern parts on it
